Mix N' Mentor Dubai 2015
Wamda's Mix N' Mentor is coming to Dubai on December 10 bringing together promising entrepreneurs with top regional and global mentors at Hult Business School, Dubai Internet City. The event caps a year of evolution and growth for Wamda’s regional Mix N’ Mentor series, and takes place in one of MENA’s most desirable markets.
Mentorship sessions
At the core of the event are the mentorship sessions. Entrepreneurs will be matched with mentors based on profiles and needs. Mentors who will share their expertise include Wamda Capital executive chairman Fadi Ghandour, Facebook managing director for North Africa and Pakistan Jonathan Labin, Facebook solutions manager Nicholas Wilson, LMTD founder Will Hutson, United Arab Bank SVP of marketing and communication Lina Shehadeh, BECO Capital cofounder and managing partner Amir Farha, VineLab managing director Abed Agha, and Wamda Capital partners Khaled Talhouni and Walid Faza.
Marketplace
This is a new addition. Marketplace session helps startups understand how large corporates think and how to land deals with them. Some lucky startups will leave the day having sparked initial conversations for a deal.
Workshops
This year, Dubai’s edition will witness the launch of two new topics during the afternoon workshops.
The first topic, Branding and Positioning for Startups, will be conducted by United Arab Bank’s senior VP of marketing and communication, Lina Shehadeh.
The second topic is Mobile Growth workshop, conducted by Nagi Salloum. There will be a number of other workshops throughout the event, ranging from User Acquisition to Content Monetization. Not only are workshops tailored to startups’ needs, entrepreneurs are matched with experts based on their needs as well.
Fireside chat
At the end of the day, the whole group comes together to reflect on learnings in a fun, collaborative and very casual set up.
Networking
Mix N' Mentor is designed to be a cosy event. No speeches or panels, it's all about peer-to-peer learning and networking with high quality mentors. Entrepreneurs will build new connections and deepen old ones.
