On December 12, 2012, TEDxHelwanU is taking place in Helwan University. The event's theme is "Leave Your Legacy" and is open to the public.

The event aims to "create a community of ideas" and encourage innovative projects in Egypt. They are currently looking for volunteers, offering a chance to learn how to run future TEDx events.
