DigiFi raises pre-seed funding
Egypt-based DigiFi Network has raised a pre-seed funding round from US-based Loyal VC.
Founded by Ahmed Nassef and Mohamed Maher in 2019, DigiFi is a WiFi-enabled platform that enables business owners to extend the reach of their advertising campaigns among a wider range of audience. Through DigiFi, customers can share their basic profile data with the business owner in exchange for free WiFi at their facility, while the business owner can then use this demographic data to promote their services to the intended customer.
The platform also enables third party advertisers to promote push-based advertising to the same customers with a share of the advertising spend going to the business owner.
"I am so proud to be the first Egyptian startup of Loyal VC’s portfolio. Their continued support and mentorship with their class A mentors will add a lot of value to our company,” said Ahmed Nassef.
The startup plans to use the funds to build the platform’s user interface, add reporting capabilities, grow its operational capacity, and continue its geographical expansion. It looks to become the biggest data hub for enhancing retargeting campaigns for digital advertisers.
It boasts a portfolio of 50 venues, including Four Seasons’ First Mall, Mountainview Clubhouse, Sachi, Kazoku, the Mokai Chain, with over monthly ad views surpassing 500,000.
