Techstars Startup Weekend Bekaa is the place to look for a team, prototype and validate a business idea, and receive feedback from experienced entrepreneurs, all in one weekend.

Creatives, tech enthusiasts, experts, artists, designers, engineers, problem solvers and business-minded individuals are encouraged to attend, participate, experiment and innovate.

It’s a risk-free environment where everyone is expected to roll up their sleeves and get to work.

 

The proposed idea must be able to solve an issue related to agriculture, food or water.

Though, the approach can either improve a process across the food value chain, innovate in the agriculture sector from farm to fork, solve sustainability challenges of sanitation management, or even anything that can lower water usage in irrigation and human consumption.

Attendees will pitch their ideas or listen to others, so they can vote on the most interesting one and then form teams with a diverse set of skills based on that.

The ideas that attendees bring in must be something that they have not previously worked on.

Over the course of the weekend, participants will be challenged to create a prototype of the MVP, or minimum viable product, that fits the needs of the target customer.

The event will be taking place on December 8-10 at USJ-ESIAM in Zahle, Lebanon.
