The Tunisian startup Ilboursa.com, which a French online finance news platform, announced on Tuesday (September 12) the closing of its first fundraising of nearly 1 million Tunisian dinars (US$ 400,000) for 33 percent of equity shares to COTIF Sicar, a Tunisian investment and financing company.
Ilboursa was created in 2013 by Ismail Ben Sassi with a capital of 5,000 dinars ($2,000). It was technically supported by ABC Bourse, a financial information site in France.
The fundraising was concluded in less than three weeks. "We interviewed the president of COTIF Sicar and he was interested in the concept of Ilboursa and offered us to open up our capital," Ben Sassi told Wamda.
