Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards
The Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards is a business plan competition aimed at supporting creative, financially sustainable and responsible women-led for-profit companies in all countries and industries, which are, at least, between two or three years of operation.
The Cartier Awards’ program was set up in 2006 to support inspirational women entrepreneurs worldwide to solve contemporary global challenges by supporting and recognizing creative women who are making concrete contributions to finding solutions for the future of our planet, and by bringing these business solutions to a global audience.
The selection process is divided into two rounds: the finalists' selection and the laureates' selection.
Round 1: The jury selects 18 finalists, the top three projects of each region (Latin America, North America, Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East & North Africa, Asia-Pacific), on the basis of their application form. They receive coaching from experienced business mentors to move to the next round.
Round 2: The finalists are invited to the final round of the competition which includes submitting a detailed business plan and presenting their projects in front of the Jury during the Cartier Awards Week. Based on the quality of the plan and the persuasiveness of the pitch, one Laureate for each of the six regions is selected. The announcement of the laureates takes place during the Awards Ceremony.
Registered participants will benefit from the following:
-
One-to-one personalized business coaching prior to the awards week
-
A series of entrepreneurship related workshops, knowledge sessions and networking events during the awards week
-
Media visibility and publicity
-
