Cairo Angels invests in Orcas

Cairo Angels announced its investment in Orcas, an edtech startup for education, tutoring and caregiving services.

Formerly Cairo Sitters, Orcas is a digital marketplace founded by Hossam Taher, Omar Fayez, Ahmed Ismail and Amira Gharib, and has already a loyal customer base in Egypt.

Taher, who is also the CEO of Orcas, said: “We are delighted to partner with the Cairo Angels and to achieve this important milestone. We are now well capitalized to take Orcas to the next level and we look forward to working with some of the strongest mentors in the region to enhance our product offering and expand regionally”.

The Orcas investment marks the Cairo Angels 20th investment in startups in the MENA region and underlines their long-standing commitment to funding high growth, innovative technology driven startups.
