5th Oman Economic Forum
The fifth edition of the Oman Economic Forum which will take place on the 23rd and 24th of March at Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa, in Muscat, under the patronage of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry in cooperation and in collaboration with Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group. The Forum will discuss Omani-Asian economic relations, and Oman's role as a bridge between these countries and the Arab World.
Oman's economy is expected to maintain a steady growth of 5 % despite the ongoing plunge in oil revenues, due to government spending. Backed by a promising future vision, the government has been incesting heavily in industrial projects and infrastructure, in line with its diversification plan that aims to reduce dependence on oil revenues.
Prominent speakers will include His Excellency Mohsin Bin Khamis Al-Balushi, Advisor to the Ministry of Commerce, and Walid Abu Zaki, Executive Manager at Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group.
