German Jordanian University (GJU) Health Hackathon
As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, the German Jordanian University (GJU), throught its Innovation and Entrepreneurship Team (PIE), is inviting you to participate in its upcoming Health Hackathon between the 12th and 14th of November. The event will take place at “The Tank”, at the King Hussein Business Park.
Jordanian students from different disciplines will work together to find low cost solutions to pressing and common medical issues that society faces, especially in remote areas and refugee camps. During the 3-day event participants will get the chance to brainstorm, form teams with like-minded forward-thinking engineers, developers, designers, and business people in order to build innovative solutions for the challenges healthcare faces in refugee camps and underprivileged areas in Jordan. Every team will pitch their projects and receive valuable feedback from a panel of experts, as well as the opportunity to win valuable prizes.
Inspired by the Grand Hack, the original MIT health hackathon, this opportunity is unique in the sense that GJU is among the first universities in the region to organize this event in the Middle East region.
