Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group, The Egyptian Lebanese Businessmen Friendship Association, Beirut Arab University, the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon “IDAL” and the Ministry of Economy & Trade are organizing the “Egyptian-Lebanese Business Forum” in cooperation with the Egyptian Embassy in Lebanon, and the Union of Chambers in both Lebanon and Egypt. The forum will take place on Friday February 13th at the Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut.

A number of concerned government ministers from Egypt and Lebanon will take part in the forum in addition to about 150 business and finance leaders, economists and experts, a reflection of the keen interest of the business community in the two countries to develop ties and cooperation. This is especially so given that the current level of economic relations and exchanges remains modest compared to potential, and that there is the political and popular will to develop and expand these relations and exchanges.

The forum will discuss the following main issues and topics:

• The investment environment and investment opportunities in the two countries.

• Trade relations between Egypt and Lebanon: Opportunities and challenges.

• Prospects for cooperation in the tourism between the two countries.

• The role of banks and investment funds in developing trade and investment flows between the two countries.

This forum will be an ideal opportunity for reviewing latest economic developments in the two countries as well as for meetings and networking between decision-makers in Egyptian and Lebanese public and private institutions.
