Zaidoun Karadsheh of Amman-based animation company Sketch in Motion describes the challenges of building Al Masageel, a 10-episode cartoon series based upon Bedouin culture, which aired on MBC during Ramadan. His team of around 15 sourced the voiceover in Saudi Arabia to perfect the Bedouin accent, while completing the animation in Jordan. Once the show launched, the attention to detail was worth it: it got over 2 million hits on MBC's online video platform Shahid.net. You don't need a big idea to start a series, says Karadsheh. "We focus on a very simple thing on which we built a big story."
