Husni Khuffash, Microsoft's Country Manager in Jordan, talks to Wamda at the World Economic Forum Special Meeting about the IT challenges that entrepreneurs face, and how companies like Microsoft provide cloud solutions that reduce costs so small businesses can focus on other issues. To further help businesses, he announces, Microsoft will launch Office 365, a version of Microsoft Office that is hosted in the cloud, in Jordan and Morocco in the first quarter of 2012.

Khuffash also mentions signing a deal with the government to create a secure, private cloud for the government of Jordan that will lower their costs as well.

"The Arab Spring is putting a lot of pressure on governments in the region to be more creative in finding solutions to reduce their costs and to create better services for the end-user- the citizens of the country. This is great news for IT, because this is what IT does- it reduces costs of operation, creates better performance, and makes life easier," he says.
