Startup Weekend Beirut 2016
On May 13-15, Startup Weekend is coming to Beirut at the ESA campus in Clemenceau, Beirut. This year's 54-hour challenge will focus on finding a unique solution to environmental challenges.

First place will receive:
- A prize of $3,000
- Admittance to AltCity's bootcamp acceleration program
- A three-month incubation period at Berytech accelerator, complete with mentorship, workshop and training sessions
Second place will receive:
- A prize of $2,000
- Admittance to AltCity's bootcamp acceleration program
- Admittance to ESA's new entrepreneurship incubator, which offers services worth up to $2,500
Third place will receive:
- A prize of $1,000
- Admittance to AltCity's bootcamp acceleration program
All three winners will also be given the opportunity to interview to join the Speed@BDD accelerator's next cycle. Startups that join this accelerator each receive a $30,000 cash injection, in addition to product and business development, accounting and legal services, and mentorship by local and international coaches.
The best-designed hardware startup from the Weekend will receive Hbr creative platform's ‘Designed in Lebanon’ award. The award will include free design mentorship and coworking space from Hbr for a period of two months.
