Euromoney Jordan 2016
International investment conference Euromoney will return to Amman in April 2016 to relaunch its annual financial Jordan conference. This year's theme is Finance for an Invigorated Economy, held under the patronage of his majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein. The event will take place on April 25 at Intercontinental hotel in Amman.
The aim of the event is to chart the developments in Jordan’s economy and put them in the context of the global macroeconomic picture, as well as to discuss the role of the financial sector in the country’s economic future.
Topics include the effects that lowering energy prices and international support have had on banks and public finances, as well as analyse the challenges Jordan still faces: the dependence on foreign aid, the unemployment caused by the influx of foreign refugees, and the improvements needed to be made on the business environment.
The financial sector will also be explored in terms of innovation and entrepreneurship, micro and SME financing, growth companies, financial inclusion and the role of the financial sector in creating jobs.
