In the framework of the World Bank’s continuous support to the Lebanese Government’s ongoing initiatives to promote economic competitiveness through the MSME sector, the World Bank, in partnership with Kafalat and the Ministry of Economy and Trade, is announcing the launch of a matching grant facility designed to increase access to equity financing for new and young firms.

The matching grant facility is designed to assist business development service providers in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) ecosystem, extend financing support, develop or re-tool existing products, and enhance the capacity of business support providers.

A launch event for the venture will take place on Tuesday February the 2nd at The Gefinor Rotana Hotel, in Beirut, Lebanon. The event aims to introduce the key features of the grant, and to launch the calls for proposals. It will be an opportunity for business development service providers to get more information on how to access this grant. Questions and comments will be allowed.
