Cairo Transport App Challenge Awards
The Cairo Transport App Challenge (Cairo TApp) is coming to a close after the participants' hard work of several months to develop innovative apps to address Cairo's critical traffic and transport problems.
The Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) together with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) will be hosting the Cairo TApp Award Event on February 16th starting at 1:30 pm in the Smart Village.
The Cairo TApp is an open partnership among Vodafone Egypt, Orange, Google, TA Telecom, Microsoft, AYB, Green Arm, Bey2ollak, Ministry of Transport, MCIT, ITIDA, Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), Arabnet, Wamda, dotopen and the World Bank.
More than 24 apps have been submitted during the last month of the competition. Among these the best 10 apps have been selected after public voting and jury evaluation and get the chance to present on stage, in front of a jury and a large audience, and show what their app is about.

- iSalik
- ShowMe The Traffic
- Emokhalfa
- Drivers Buster
- Autobeesy – Feen
In this final award event, the top 3 apps selected by the jury, and the most popular app voted by the public, will be awarded cash prizes.
This event welcomes developers, start-ups, transport specialists, media, investors and anyone who is curious about the mobile app ecosystem and concerned about Cairo’s transportion.
