First MENA Business Women's Network Forum Launches Tomorrow and Friday
The groundbreaking MENA Business Women's Network Forum is launching tomorrow and Friday in Dubai- join us!
For the first time, 350 businesswomen from the entire MENA region are coming together in Dubai to connect, strength ties, build skills, and reenforce the power of women to lead economic growth in the region.
The forum, titled "Unleashing the Economic Potential of Women in the MENA Region" is hosted by the MENA Business Women's Network, in partnership with Vital Voices, and ExxonMobil, as well as the Dubai Business Women's Council, and will offer panels on a range of topics including mentorship, Google tools, leadership, branding, investment, tech tools and social media, innovation and family businesses, media, supply chains, and, most importantly, breaking glass ceilings.
Many of region's women business leaders will be there, and the first keynote speech will be given by H.E. Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister for Foreign Trade in the UAE, who manages to be both inspiring and direct when discussing entrepreneurship ecosystem challenges (when I've seen her speak, iincluding in her speech at CoE).
Maya Rahal and I will be attending and hosting a workshop at 5pm tomorrow, Thursday April 12th, on "Building an Online Narrative," discussing how to think about pitching and discussing your startup, and what challenges women face more broadly with building and marketing their startups, and perception of women in the media.
Maya will also be sitting on a panel on Leveraging Technology at 1pm tomorrow, discussing the use of social media in the startup and citizen journalism space.
