Press release:

Databuddy Analytics, the AI-driven analytics platform, has raised $500,000 in Seed funding from Y Combinator as it launches its AI intelligence platform. With investment from Maza Ventures and through the a16z Scout programme, Databuddy has raised more than $560,000 to date.

The company's new AI analytics platform investigates conversion drops, customer friction and product issues on a team's behalf and brings the findings to them. Unlike the traditional web analytics approach, the platform proactively shows what changed and why, without the need to dig through reports and filters. Databuddy has grown to serve more than 3,000 businesses in the first few months since launch.

"Teams don't want more charts; they want to know what's broken and what to do about it," says Issa Nassar, Founder of Databuddy. "We built Databuddy so that the answer is one question away. Y Combinator's backing lets us move faster on that and put it in front of far more teams."

Issa Nassar grew up in Palestine, started coding at age 11 and dropped out of university. He was accepted into Y Combinator at 20, becoming the youngest founder in the Middle East to be accepted into Silicon Valley’s iconic accelerator.

Tambi Jalouqa, Managing Partner at Maza Ventures, shared, "Most founders start by explaining the market. Issa started by showing us what he had built. Databuddy is one of those products that looks deceptively simple, which is usually a sign that someone has spent a lot of time thinking about the problem. Issa has the combination we look for at Maza: he's deeply technical, moves unusually fast, and seems more interested in making something people want than in looking like a startup founder. Those are often the founders worth betting on early."

The funding will support deeper AI investigation capabilities, additional integrations and targeted hiring. Databuddy will also invest in onboarding and migration support, helping more teams connect their existing data and put the platform to work.
